Corrib Eggs Processing – All eggs are traceable from farm to fork*.
Corrib Eggs have a full HACCP Plan in place which involves monthly salmonella tests and water sampling, along with regular Bord Bia and Dept. of Agriculture audits.
Full traceability from all eggs is achieved by the application of bar-coded labels on all consignments of eggs as they enter the packing centre – this unique barcode is then applied to the outer box of eggs after grading.
When the salesman scans the box at point of sale, the barcode is then downloaded onto the computer and stored along with the sales invoice.
